Principal / Elementary School (12 Month / Full Time)

 

The Elementary School Principal candidate should be visionary and have a passion for serving ALL students as well as a strong desire to foster student growth. Applicants should provide evidence of leading a collaborative culture and of proven student academic success.  

 

Hal Henard Elementary focuses on academic growth, character development, and a strong, collaborative school community. The principal applicant must demonstrate the ability to lead within this type of environment—fostering high expectations for students while building meaningful relationships with staff, families, and community partners.

 

Hal Henard also serves as the home site for several of Greeneville High School’s athletic teams through a shared gym facility. In addition, numerous community agencies utilize the building throughout the year. The successful candidate must be an effective communicator, organized leader, and visible community partner who can thoughtfully manage shared spaces while maintaining a safe, student-centered learning environment.

Master's degree in Educational Administration and current valid educator license with administrative endorsement is required.  Ten (10) years teaching experience preferred. Prior administrative/supervisory experience preferred. The full time position DOES include benefits.

 

Must have satisfactory background/fingerprint checks as required by the Tennessee State Department of Education and state law.  Must meet health and physical requirements.
